Looking for FlashQuotes to automatically calculate and apply the correct sales tax based on the event address location entered on a quote
Ideally, this would work by:
  1. Reading the event address entered on the quote.
  2. Determining the correct local sales tax rate based on city, county, and state.
  3. Automatically applying that tax rate to taxable items.
  4. Displaying the sales tax clearly on the customer-facing quote.
  5. Allowing admins to manually override the tax rate if needed.
Example Use Case
If we create a quote for an event in Raleigh, NC, FlashQuotes would automatically apply the correct tax rate for that event location. If we create another quote for an event in Durham, Cary, Chapel Hill, or another county, FlashQuotes would adjust the tax rate accordingly based on that specific event address.
This would make quoting more accurate, reduce administrative work, and help prevent pricing discrepancies between the quote, invoice, and final payment. It would also make FlashQuotes more useful for service businesses that travel to events across multiple tax jurisdictions.
